Online therapy works in much of the same way that in-person therapy works. We will connect via a video service platform called SimplePractice. No app downloads are needed, just a computer with solid internet access. About 24 hours before every online session, a link will be emailed to you that you will click and be connected to speak with your therapist.

As of February 2025, I will no longer be accepting BCBS.
I will offer superbills to my out-of-network clients who would like to apply for reimbursement through their insurance company.
I’ve also partnered with Mentaya, a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits. Mentaya is perfect if you:
• Have out-of-network benefits
• Feel overwhelmed by superbills and insurance
• Have submitted superbills but failed to get any reimbursement
• Simply want to skip the hassle of paperwork!
Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, which includes handling any paperwork required, dealing with denials, and calling insurance companies.

A "Good Faith Estimate" is a transparent overview of the expected costs and aspects of your treatment. It outlines the fees, and any additional expenses involved in your therapy. This estimate helps you understand the financial aspects of your mental health journey, ensuring there are no surprises and allowing you to make informed decisions about your care. During your first session I will provide you with a copy of the Good Faith Estimate for this practice.

During your first appointment, we will review Practice Policies, and various counseling agreements including consent forms. We will also discuss what brought you into therapy and review some of your family and individual history. We will work together to development a treatment plan unique to you, and I will share how I plan to help you throughout treatment. I also make every effort to share resources specific to your situation, so that you leave with some solid/concrete tools right away!

Each person is different and the situation always depends. For most clients we will see each other weekly for about 3-4 months, then transition to bi-weekly for another 3-4 months and ultimately end with monthly maintenance sessions for as long as is needed. Please keep in mind that this is not the case for everyone and some people may stay longer or end much sooner.
You’re worth the investment.
